Call abstracts main workshop PAG 2020

Abstracts for talks are now being accepted by the IWGSC for individuals who would like to present his/her work at the primary IWGSC workshop that will be held at the Plant and Animal Genome Conference XXVIII on Saturday, 11 January 2020, from 8:00-10:10 am.

Deadline: 17 September 2019

Plans are underway for the primary IWGSC workshop that will be held at the Plant and Animal Genome Conference XXVIII. The IWGSC workshop will, likely, be held on Saturday, 11 January 2020, from 8:00-10:10 am.

Abstracts for proposed talks are now being accepted by the IWGSC for individuals who would like to present his/her work at the workshop. The presentation must focus on work related to the development or utilization of wheat genomic resources. One does not have to be an early career individual. Anyone may submit a nomination or an individual may self-nominate. Priority will be given to ideas and talks that have not been presented recently at a PAG conference.

Please note that the PAG organizers are enforcing several rules to ensure diversity of speakers at the various workshops. These include a prohibition on the same individual speaking in the same workshop two years in a row and a prohibition on giving the same or a highly similar talk in more than one PAG workshop. We will work with the organizers to enforce this rule and are setting an early deadline for abstract submissions to assist in this effort.

If you are interested in giving a presentation at the IWGSC workshop, please send the title and an abstract (up to 250 words) of your proposed talk to Kellye Eversole ( eversole@eversoleassociates.com ) by Tuesday, 17 September 2019. If you would like to recommend an individual for a talk, please also contact me with your suggestion.
