The International Wheat Genome Sequencing Consortium held three meetings during January 2010 in conjunction with the XVIII Plant and Animal Genome Conference in San Diego, California. All meetings were held at the Town and Country conference center.

The meetings were:

  • IWGSC Workshop, Saturday, 9 January 2010, from 8:00 am to 10:10 am in the Town and Country Room.
  • IWGSC Open Business meeting, Saturday, 9 January 2010, from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm in Pacific Salon rooms 4 & 5.
  • IWGSC Physical Mapping Standard Protocols Workshop, Tuesday, 12 January 2010, the Sunrise Room.

The agendas for the IWGSC Workshop and the Physical Mapping Standard Protocols Workshop are listed below. The Workshop report and the Physical Mapping Standard Protocols are available now in the General Reports section of the website. For additional information, please contact IWGSC executive director, Kellye Eversole, at eversole@eversoleassociates.com.

IWGSC: Physical Mapping Standard Protocols Workshop

Tuesday, 12 January 2010

1:30-6:00 pm

Town & Country Conference Center

The primary objective of the workshop is to develop consensus on protocols and standards to ensure homogeneity in the procedures used for constructing the wheat physical maps. The outcome will be written guidelines as has been done for the sequence annotation that will be accessible on the IWGSC website. The protocols and standards may be published as a whole article subsequent to the workshop.
