IWGSC Bioinformatics Board

The IWGSC Bioinformatics Board oversees and coordinates all bioinformatic activities.

In December 2010, the IWGSC established the Bioinformatics Board. The purpose of the board is to oversee and coordinate all bioinformatic activities related to the IWGSC projects. The board replaces the former Annotation Working Group. The board will strive to stimulate communication, discussion, and data exchange. A further responsibility of the board will be to develop data and analytical standards for IWGSC projects and assist project leaders and the bioinformatic groups of individual projects to meet these standards. Coordinating committee member Klaus Mayer serves as the chair of the board. The board consists of the following coordinating committee members:

  • Michael Alaux
  • Mario Caccamo
  • Frédéric Choulet
  • Philippe Leroy
  • Thomas Wicker.
