Project funding
Project funding for completion of the physical map and for BAC-based sequencing of chromosome 6B has been provided by the Japanese Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries.
Abstract
With this project, the following activities will be conducted:
- Construction of BAC libraries and selection of markers unique to chromosome 6B
- Development of transcriptome resources and their use as markers
- Construction of BAC-based physical map and sequencing of 6B
- Development of genome annotation technique for wheat.
Team members include scientists from the National Institute of Agrobiological Sciences, the Kihara Institute for Biological Research in Yokohama City University, Kyoto University, Kobe University, Nisshin Flour Milling Inc., and RIKEN.
