Abstract
The sequencing of chromosome 7A is based on a minimal tile path of BAC clones identified from the physical map built from the fingerprints of a flow-sorted chromosome arm BAC libraries for 7AS and 7AL. Pools of overlapping BACs have been sequenced on the Illumina HiSeq platform and are being assembled with mate-pair data and information from high resolution genetic maps.
